Welcome, and thank you for stopping by. I'm Izzie, and this is the first real post on a blog I've been meaning to start for a while. Before I get into shoots and tips, I wanted to tell you how I got here.
I've been doing makeup for the better part of ten years, though not in a straight line. Life kept moving me, across states and across countries, so my work came in starts and stops, picking back up wherever I landed next. Texas is where it finally settled. Since November 2023 I've been at it consistently, building something steady instead of starting over again.
Photography found me later, and almost by accident. While serving at my local church, I kept reaching for a camera, drawn to capturing people in their small, honest moments. What began as helping out turned into something I couldn't put down. In December 2025, I decided to pursue it properly, and the following January 2026 I officially began offering photography alongside my makeup work.
Two crafts, one reason: I love helping people feel seen. A brush and a camera are just different ways of doing the same thing.
This is where I'll share what goes on behind the scenes: the shoots, makeup looks you can recreate at home, and the occasional note on what I'm learning as I go. I'm really glad you're here.
